European Institute for Crime Prevention and Control
: United Nations affiliated body based in Finland offering on-line publications with a mainly European focus.

International Centre for the Prevention of Crime: NGO supported by the governments of Canada, France, South Africa, the Netherlands, the United Kingdom and the United States offering an annotated bibliography of crime prevention publications, with some listings having content summaries.

National Crime Prevention Program: Australian government body offering the texts of a large number of reports.

New Zealand Ministry of Justice Crime Prevention Unit: information on this New Zealand government unit’s activities and limited publications.

Public Safety Canada’s National Crime Prevention Centre: Government of Canada site containing links to numerous publications relating to crime prevention.

UNODC Crime Programme: program information, justice statistics, and international agreement texts.

Law and Contemporary Problems Journal: oldest of the Duke University law journals, each issue is devoted to a single topic with many issues relevant to criminal law.

National Association of Drug Court Professionals and National Drug Court Institute: U.S. government organization whose site contains many full-text publications relevant to practitioners outside of the U.S.

National Institute of Justice Journal: online full-text magazine published by the U.S. Department of Justice whose articles occupy a middle ground between academic and popular writing.

Public Safety Canada: detailed full-text research publications in the areas of corrections, aboriginal corrections, policing, and aboriginal policing.

Terrorism, Transnational Crime and Corruption Center reports and links, primarily focusing on the states of the former U.S.S.R. and Eastern Europe.

United Nations Interregional Crime and Justice Research Institute: international criminological research body whose site contains a variety of its reports.

Western Criminology Review: full-text online articles on criminology in the Western U.S., the U.S. nation-wide, and elsewhere in the world.


Centre on Juvenile and Criminal Justice: U.S.-based organization whose site has numerous full-text publications on alternatives to incarceration for offenders.

Sentencing Guidelines Secretariat: set up by the government for England and Wales, the Sentencing Advisory Panel issues consultation papers and eventually advice to the Sentencing Guidelines Council, which periodically issues sentencing guidelines, the site also offers annual reports and public perception statistics.

The Sentencing Project: full-text reports on sentencing disparity issues in the U.S. criminal justice system.

Restorative Justice Online: run by the Prison Fellowship International Centre for Justice and Reconciliation, offers an online articles search database and explanations of what restorative justice is all about.
